My mother used to say there are two things money can’t buy…love and home-grown tomatoes. Well not anymore, at least as far as the tomatoes are concerned. Delicious, juicy and ripened on the vine tomatoes are showing up in abundance at our local farmer’s markets and in our grocery stores.
I managed to find some luscious ones the other day and decided to make this slightly sweet and mildly spicy jam with them. It’s delicious on toasted slices of ciabatta bread, on tostadas or in place of relish in your favourite veggie burger.
